Dawn French

Dawn French nasceu em 1957 em Holyhead, Inglaterra. Ela estudou no ST. Sunstans Abbery (hoje conhecido como Pymouth College, um internato escolar). Mais tarde ganhou uma bolsa e foi estudar no Spence School em Nova York. Ao voltar para Inglaterra em 1977 foi estudar na London’s Central School of Speech and Drama. Lá conheceu Jennifer Saunders e, apesar de no início terem tido certa antipatia, as duas chegaram a compartilhar um apartamento juntas e mais tarde se tornariam parcerias de comédia.

French teve uma extensa carreira na televisão e no cinema, com destaque para a adaptação cinematográfica de Harry Potter e o Prisioneiro de Azkaban. Ela é casada com o ator Lenny Herry e tem uma filha adotiva chamada Billie.
